Green Beans, Peas, and Prunes...

Tessa, this post is dedicated to you... Tessa was nice enough to send me an e-mail to remind me that it has been over a week since my last post and she needed to see new photos ... so here ya go cuz!!!!
I keep this as my journal therefore I am uploading some more of their first foods pics for my memory and theirs. :) They seem to have liked the orange veges (sweet potato, carrots, squash) but the greens are def in second place. By far Noah is the best and fastest eater. All I have to do is say "Big Boy Noah ... Big Bite" and he opens with excitement! Sophia not so much... she starts to gag and will lock her jaw closed so I can't get in. So of course I have to do some silly voice or laugh so she will smile and then I get her! :) The things us mommys have to do to keep the lil ones entertained ... and fed! :) Anyway, we are almost on to the fruits which I think will be lots of fun (mango, peaches, guava, banana pineapple, yummmm.)

Noah loves GREEN BEANS! Well, they both do! I yell it really loud and they laugh.
Sophias gag face!!!!
He is just not that into you ... I mean prunes!!!

We dropped off the babies yesterday with their Oma while we went shopping. When we picked them up she gave us a huge bag of baby food. (BTW, Sophia did really well, no crying at all!!!! YAY.) We are really excited to try some of them... chicken noodle, vege beef, vege chicken, turkey and rice...but we have to wait till we finish stage 2. :(

Yesterday was really nice. We did lots of errands and stuff to get ready for our superbowl gathering. It was fun to be with Andrew and do shopping together because we usually tag team and one of us will stay home with the babies while the other takes care of stuff. Oh, I do have to mention though that when Andrew is with them while I am gone I often come home to them in rare forum. The babies love being with him and if they are safe thats ALL that matters to me. lol

OK, so here is some photos of when I get home just what I see.
80's flashback to "Flash Dancing"...where is her other sock?!
Jeana - "Honey???... oh nevermind!"
Jeana - "Honey, it is not halloween - why is Noah in a costume?????"
Andrew - "Oh, because I couldn't find anything for him to wear!"
REALLY???
I almost forgot to mention that we met up with everyone at Eccos last Sunday just for fun. I snapped I few pics that I just love.
Noah going for the beer- being a typical Gekas... Fallon or LaRosa, hmmmm!!!!
Oh, and No, he didn't drink any!!!!Grandpa Love!

Lastly, here is my princess... I think she IS gonna be a girly girl. Joanna put this hat on her and she instantly was all googly eyed and smiley. Of course I bought it!!!

Noah on the other hand has a new talent! He is such a boy!

Now I need to get back to cleaning and cooking for the superbowl party!!!!
OH, and because I know I am gonna get asked for the recipe ... here it is.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style
4 cloves garlic
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1 (10 ounce) container Alfredo-style pasta sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place garlic in a small baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven 20 to 30 minutes, until soft. Remove from heat. When cool enough to touch, squeeze softened garlic from skins.
In an 8x8 inch baking dish, spread the roasted garlic, spinach, artichoke hearts, Alfredo-style pasta sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and cream cheese.
Cover and bake in the preheated oven 30 minutes, or until cheeses are melted and bubbly. Serve warm.
