The Double Whammy....

"Making a decision to have a child--it's momentous.
It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body."
- Elizabeth Stone

So it happened like this... I am sitting watching TV...Andrew is taking a shower. I was eating dinner quickly while the babies were taking a late night much needed cat nap. When all of a sudden I hear the dogs going crazy... I go to the door and its Jeanie and Julie!!!! I totally forgot they were coming over because I had such a crazy long day with NOAH being SICK and all. Anyway, we are sitting in my kitchen chit chatting and I was telling them that I prefer to spend money on the babies vs myself these days and she says "I wonder if I will be like that!" It goes over my head for a few minutes and then I realize what she said.
So I yell, "what a minute... is there something you aren't telling me?"
Jeanie says, "oh you knew Julie was pregnant we told you the last time we came over!
I said, "No, you didn't!"
So then she says "oh and guess what?" (OMG I ALMOST FELL OUT OF MY CHAIR!)
She continues with "I AM 11 WEEKS!"
Of course I get up and hug both of them and start crying! I have known Jeanie since she was what 6 years old? Now we get to raise our babies together!!!! THIS IS AWESOME. I am so happy that Noah and Sophia are going to have more friends too. So, Julie is having a girl and Jeanie... well, we aren't sure yet bec she is still early. (hoping for a girl!) The best part is that they are best friends and are going to raise their children together. It really couldn't get any better timing wise since Julie is due in June and Jeanie is due in August. Anyway, just thought I would share. Heres to healthy pregnancies to you you both. Whos next? I keep saying that, huh? We should all get stock in BABIES R US because 2009 is already the year of babies.
love ya. xoxo
If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle.
