Severly Anemic???? Worse day!!!!

Yesterday, I took the babies for their "regular" flu shots. While I was there I asked the doc how Noahs blood work looked from our last visit (when the guy missed his vein and then had to re-poke him on his other arm!) (the guy that will never touch my son again!!!!!) Yea, that visit.

Well, anyway, while she was looking at the paperwork, and said "OH, ONE OF THEM IS ANEMIC" ... I thought for sure it was Miss Sassy Sophia because she "sometimes" will not eat all of her meat. So I start going on and on with the doc about how I have been giving her other things to help add iron to her diet blah blah blah... the doc leaves and comes back and says "NOAH IS ANEMIC! When we did his bloodwork back in July he was at 13.5 now he is at 7.9!" I was in shock bec he eats up all his food... first thought was, ok this is commen... what do we do to fix it? she said we will give him some drops but first she wanted to redo his blood work. So, I was not stressing on it and said ok I will come back tomorrow. La la la la. Anyway, we go home and all is fine.

UNTIL I DECIDE TO GOODLE "ANEMIA" !!!!!!!!!!! DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNN.

Yea, bad idea. I instantly thought my son the one who was severly anemic had some type of cancer or chrons disease or sickle cell anemia. I WAS A WRECK! Joanna came back and we decided to take Noah back down to the lab to do his bloodwork immediately vs waiting bec I could not sleep in suspense of knowing what was wrong with my baby. Before we left I was stuffing him with foods rich in iron and watching his every move. He seemed normal, looked healthy, and was very alert. Wouldn't someone who was "severly anemic" be like slouched over a chair or pale and lathargic?????? that was not my son! see heres photo proof:

So, we rush down there and I can't breathe and am very emotional. I talk to the doctor and she assures me he is fine based on the fact he had no visual signs of anemia and bec the last time the drew the blood there were some issues so she thought it clotted. She said she would call me within 3 hours to let me know the results of his test so I could sleep... and breathe! Anyway, we go home and anxiously await the phone call. Waiting for a phone call that could potentialy change all of our lives forever. FINALLY the phone rings and its Dr. Nichols who says "NOAH IS FINE... HE IS NOT ANEMIC IT WAS A FAULTY BLOOD TEST and is levels were back up to 13.5!" I was so happy.

Happy at the fact that my poor son would not have to endure any pain and happy at the fact that his sister could not bare to be without her brother not even for 10 minutes. SO, today I celebrate ... celebrate knowing that everything I had could have been gone in seconds and knowing I am so lucky and blessed to have healthy children, supporting friends and a wonderful family!
See he is his totally normal funny self!!!

OK, I know the above picture is just wrong ... like CPS wrong.... but, I could not stop laughing and my brother has one from when he was a baby actually taking a sip of one, so there!!!!! At least it wasn't open ... ha-ha!!!

Never trust info from a computer they always exagerate!! I am anemic and always have been since I had toxic shock. I am not lathargic, pale, or skinny (damn). I some days feel tired because of it, but i do eat my meat!! LOL But seriously the only effect it has ever had on me is that I can't give blood. Like when Kayla was sick I wanted to donate and couldn't and we have the same blood type. I am glad my godson is A-OK!! Love ya all!!
