Update from GekasVille...

hello all, well the kids are napping so I thought I would do a quick post since I have been slacking. Its just harder now that they are getting older but it is so important for me to keep up with this blog for them and for me since my memory is so horrible.

As far as updates go, the candle party was a great success. I had lots of friends and family come and it was nice to spend time with everyone. The babies had fun playing with all their cousins and friends too.
Right after Sophia got really sick.. she was couging badly and not happy. I took her to the doctor bec she was concered she could have RSV. Turns out she was ok and was given some medicine. Noah has been fine except for a runny nose. Thank goodness. We got cabin fever staying inside for all the rain and crazy hail that came our way. We did some coloring, played blocks, listened to some music (new fav is beyonce), and tried to keep busy. Saturday night we met up with Greg and Tommy for a dinner at Buca Di Beppo. It was nice and so yummy. I asked Noah if he wanted a snack yesterday and he said "Si" ... I think maybe we need to cut back on the Dora and Diego! So heres to good weather and good many beach and park days to come! :)

Also, Andrew did really well on the interview so your prayers are working... he got 98/100 on his overall scoring so he is in band A which is awesome. Keep on praying people. Now he will go thru background and psych eval. I will keep you all posted.

A few people have asked about Shelley so I wanted to give an update on what I know. At this point she is still undergoing chemo treatement. Radiation is over. She continues to feel good and then bad. The treatment is horrible but she is strong willed. Treatment is helping. Thats all I have at this point to share with you.

Andrew Jr. is all signed up for baseball and get this... his mom and dad are already picking out what MIDDLE SCHOOL/JUNIOR HIGH he will go to next year. Where does the time go? Its crazy.

We have lots of birthday parties coming up one is race track theme and one is a winter-ONE-derland theme with real snow! Themes for parties now a days are so fun. I bet the babies will have such a blast! We are planning on having a superbowl party so if anyone is interested you know you are invited. :)

On a side note, I am looking into a program they have when the babies turn two. It is called "tot lot" - the moms rotate schedules and the kids can go everyday from 10-12. I think it sounds like a win-win situation for all of us! :) If anyone has experience with this please let me know.

As for me, I have started a working out every other day while the babies take their nap. I am trying to get into a routine bec I feel so good afterwards, even though I am sore. I really need the stress relief. I have been working on some projects and keeping busy with my double trouble. This time of my life is really such a blessing and so much fun. I can't believe how fast its going and really wish I had a pause button. I am so overwhelmed with how much they are learing and how fast they are growing. It is something I heard would happen but never believed especially when they were so little and premature. Sophia has started to say sentences like "I said no" "take a pic" and " bye bye daddy" and I just look at her like when did this happen and how? Noah has been a lil dancer lately and really gets into it. It is so much fun to watch. He likes to say things too as he hears them which scares the crap out of me. LOL. We really need to start watching it. I think both of their favorite words right now are "uh oh", ewww, and "one-TWO!" Tomorrow my babies will be 19 months old and I am so proud of them. As their mother I love watching them grow, learn, and embrace this thing called life but at the same time I want to wrap my arms around them and protect them from all of the things that life can bring. I am seeing how independent they are becoming and it makes me happy but scares me at the same time, if that makes sense! Like for instance Andrew, andrew jr. and I did the Disney's give a day - get a day volunteer day where you can get a free pass for volunteering. We chose to clean up the beach which was fun and totally worth it. Anyway, Christa offered to watch the babies and when we took them over there and were leaving it was like ok bye mom. they just waved us off and went about their business playing and watching cartoons. Then on Sunday we took them to the nursery and we said goodbye and they just went on with their business and had a great time. No crying or anything. I just know the day I take them to pre-school or kindergarten I am going to cry my eyeballs out. ugh. But, dont get me wrong... I am proud of them for being so independent and so full of life. I love that I am raising them to be free willing and courageous... I mean that is my job as a Mother right?

My big girl did her first tinkle on the potty! It was such a cool moment and I am so glad I had my camera. She has been showing signs of being ready. Like by telling me poo-poo or bringing me a diaper, ha! Anyway, she was standing in the bathroom so I put her on her potty seat and went to grab my camera. I closed the door and sat on the floor and explainted to her about the potty. Our first mommy daughter talk! Then all of a sudden I heard the tinkling! It was so cool. Its so amazing how motherhood changes whats important in your life! ;0)

crayon fun...

Sophia trying to drive already! Uh, oh!!!!!!! We love to play with our friends...

and so does mommy! :)

Relaxing...

wow, mommy, look wa-wa!

Really NOAH???? are you always this happy?

Dancing "o o o o o all the single ladies..." she sings it too! OH, and so does Noah, I have video proof but he is naked so I don't think its appropriate to post. I should also mention the fact that lately he loves to rip his diaper off and streak through the house at any given time he can!

Must have ability to plan and organise social gatherings for clients of all ages and mental outlooks.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: None required, unfortunately. On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.

WAGES AND COMPENSATION: You pay them, offering frequent raises and bonuses. A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because of the assumption that college will help them become financially independent. When you die, you give them whatever is left.

The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that you actually enjoy it and wish you could only do more.

BENEFITS: While no health or dental insurance, no pension, no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and no stock options are offered, the job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth and free hugs for life if you play your cards right
